Eddie Kendricks - Keep On Truckin': The Motown Solo Albums, Vol. 1 album

Size MP3 album: 1761 mb. | Size FLAC album: 1480 mb.

All that changed, however, with Eddie Kendricks - which entered the Top 20 R&B and pop LP countdowns. On the other side of the stylistic spectrum are "Each Day I Cry a Little," replete with spoken intro, and the not-to-be-missed remake of "Any Day Now" - the Burt Bacharach-penned song that Chuck Jackson spun into gold some years earlier.

Album released as Tamla T 315L, May 1972; R&B, Pop. Recorded in Detroit at Hitsville (Studio A) and Golden World (Studio B), January-February 1972, except Date With The Rain, recorded November-December 1971 and March 1972. After years of feeling Eddie Kendricks deprived with half hearted collections and best of's, comes this great collection. This covers Eddie's first 3 solo Lp's without being that perfect instrument for the Temptations. I say that, beacause Eddie's voice was a complete instrument in itself.

After years of feeling Eddie Kendricks deprived with half hearted collections and best of's, comes this great collection. This covers Eddie's first 3 solo Lp's without being that perfect instrument for the Temptations. I say that, beacause Eddie's voice was a complete instrument in itself. What impressed me was that, yes he could sing in his famous falletto, but some of these songs showed how versitile his voice really was(If You Let Me,This Used To Be The Home Of Johnnie Mae). Of course it has "Keep On Truckin'", but I'm glad the the "People ... Hold On" album is on here. That's the best album he released, and finally it is available.
